Coronavirus facts on deck
Hello again, reporters! We’re still slogging through.
Obviously, there is a lot of information flying around. A lot of it is true. A lot is false. A lot isn’t clear either way. A lot of it is mostly false but kind of true if you squint. Good gravy!
Ideally everyone would be fact-checking their own stuff, but if you don’t have time, you can use the CoronaVirusFacts Alliance Database.
The CoronaVirusFacts Alliance Database is a central hub for hundreds and hundreds of coronavirus claims, checked by organizations around the world. It’s in English and Spanish. Just search for something like hydroxychloroquine or warm water, find the bit you want, and off you go.
I’m glad journalists are able to lean on each other during this tough time. I learned about this one from an IRE webinar on COVID fact-checking that you can watch here. Stay safe!
